Strawberry Shortcake Shish Kabobs

After a week of spring break and warm weather, all I can think about is summer, and barbecues. And what better dessert to have at a barbecue than these adorable strawberry shortcake shish kabobs. They take minutes to throw together and are definitely a crowd favorite.

  • 2 medium packages of strawberries (20-30 berries)
  • 1 loaf vanilla pound cake (you could also use angel food cake, but the pound cake is more moist and easier to skewer)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips, melted
  • 10-15 popsicle sticks

  1. Cut the strawberries in half and the pound cake loaf into 1 inch by 1 inch squares.
  2. Slide on the strawberries and cake pieces onto the skewer or popsicle stick.
  3. Set on a pan or waxed paper.
  4. Melt the white chocolate according to package directions and drizzle over the shish kabobs.
  5. Let the white chocolate set and refrigerate until ready to serve.
