could i substitute the sprite for something else?

For this recipe, we highly recommend using Sprite, for the carbonation and flavor. However, you could easily substitute it. Here are some substitutions we recommend:

  • Lemon Lime Soda
  • Cherry 7 Up
  • Fresca
  • Mt. Dew
  • Lemonade (if you are looking to go without carbonation).

could i use fresh strawberries?

For this recipe, we used frozen strawberries to give it a little more of an icy texture, when you drink it. However, fresh strawberries would be just as delicious.

You could use fresh or frozen.

If you are wanting to make it even more slushy, when using fresh strawberries, you could also add more ice to the blender to make it a little more icy.
