S’mores Clusters

The best way to enjoy indoor s'mores. Fluffy marshmallows, graham cracker crunch, all covered in chocolate with a lot less mess and no fire necessary. They're a great treat for little kids to help make, too!

Nothing says summertime like some roasted hot s’mores, am I right? We don’t have a fire pit, and we’re not big campers – but we still LOVE the taste, so we’ve been all about the easy indoor s’mores this summer.

This is a great recipe for little ones to help throw together AND the finished product is a whole lot less messy than traditional s’mores, but you still get the great chocolate, graham cracker, and marshmallow flavor.

These s’mores clusters only take a few minutes to throw together, but the end result is a delicious treat you can enjoy year-round, no campfire necessary.

just 3 ingredients

You only need 3 ingredients to make these s’mores clusters – chocolate chips, marshmallows, and graham crackers.

We added a bit of vegetable oil to our chocolate chips when melting them (it’s listed in the recipe), but that step isn’t completely necessary. It does, however, help smooth your chocolate if you’re heating it up in the microwave.

You could substitute chocolate bars or baking chocolate for the chocolate chips if you don’t have any on hand.

You could also use marshmallow bits instead of marshmallows (like this recipe) or use graham cracker crumbs or teddy grahams if you don’t have graham crackers on hand. It’s easily adaptable to whatever you have on hand.

how to make these indoor smores

In a microwave safe bowl, melt together chocolate chips and vegetable oil in 30 second intervals, stirring in between each interval, until smooth.

Stir in crushed graham crackers and mini marshmallows, completely coating them in chocolate.

Drop by large spoonful onto a wax-lined baking sheet and allow to cool and set up, then serve.

Kid friendly

Want to get your kids in on the fun? This is one recipe that older kids could definitely make all on their own.

My toddlers weren’t quite ready for that yet, so they helped me break up the graham crackers, pour the ingredients in to the melted chocolate, stir, and drop the mixture by the spoonful onto our baking sheet.

I probably could have made them with a lot less mess, but they were happy to help (and they made some really happy and willing taste testers at the end, too).
