Slow Cooker Sweet Teriyaki Chicken Recipe

I was in the student council in elementary school, which mean I had the “privilege” to sell beef jerky in the hallway at lunch.  That is when my love affair with teriyaki started!  I would be sure to bring 50 cents to school everyday so I could buy a piece of that delicious, flavorful jerky.  I have never met a teriyaki recipe I didn’t like, and this one is so sweet and tasty that your family is bound to love it too!

  1. This was very yummy!
I used frozen chicken thighs because I had them. I only used 1/2 cup of Soy Sauce(I use BRAGG's and it is costly) and 1/2 cup of sugar and dried onion flakes(my kids hate onion but don't mind the dried onion)
I made some very thin rice noodles, and made some veggie stir fry as well. Placed the noodles with some Teriyaki sauce on a bowl and topped it with the chicken and veggies, everyone at it all up!

I was also thinking that you could marinate the chicken the night before to intensify the flavors if desired.
  2. I made this tonight for dinner and ... Yumm-mo! "Mom, this is Soooo good". "Mom, can I please have some more.". And the best one was from my daughter that doesn't like ANYthing..."Mom, this chicken tastes kinda weird, weird but GOOD.". I will totally be doing this dinner again! Soooo easy and delicious! Thanks for sharing your deliciousness!
  3. I made this twice and it hasn't turned out well either time, unfortunately. The first time I followed the recipe and it was too salty, acidic, almost bitter/sour in flavor. It was odd. The next time I followed another reviewer's tip and used brown sugar, red pepper flakes and crushed garlic. The result was the same strong, unpleasant flavor. :( The onion and garlic cook down to nothing and the sauce is so thin and runny the chicken doesn't cook well. It was a disappointment both times and I hope your other recipes turn out better for me.
  4. Hi ladies! My husband and I were looking for a good (and easy!) recipe to do that I could easily make gluten free (kikkoman makes a delicious GF soy sauce!) I ran across this recipe on google although I've seen you guys on pinterest plenty- and it was delicious!! My husband and I both enjoyed it immensely. Thanks for this awesome and simple recipe!!
