Slow Cooker Hot Fudge Brownies

I love a good chocolatey dessert, but these Slow Cooker Hot Fudge Brownies, take my love of chocolate to a whole new level. They are so easy to make and taste absolutely amazing.

It is hot and humid here in Missouri and I have a hard time turning on my oven. I found this little recipe in an old family cook book and my family loved it.
They are hot and gooey when they come out and I put a scoop of ice cream on top to make it the perfect summer treat.
If you are looking for a quick and simple dessert, that is fail proof, I highly recommend giving this recipe a try. It was so simple and tasted so good.
Add a scoop of ice cream and your favorite brownie sundae toppings, and life is good.

could i cook these on low for more time?

For this recipe, we recommend cooking them on high for more time, just because it makes them a little more dense and fudgy. However, if you do need a little more time, you could cook these in your slow cooker on low, for a little extra time.

If you do four hours, they will be a little dry. We recommend cooking them on low for about two and a half to three hours. The full four, and they may be a little dry, so less time is probably best.

favorite brownie additions:

I love toppings off my brownies with ice cream, but I also love adding some extra goodness to the batter. Here are a few of our favorite things to add:

  • Candy bars (Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Snickers, Butterfingers, Caramels, etc.)
  • Extra hot fudge
  • chocolate chips
  • peanut butter chip
  • white chocolate chips
  • caramel bits
  • nuts (pecans, walnuts, peanuts, almonds, macadamia nuts, etc.).
  • Marshmallows or marshmallow cream/sauce
