Pepperoni Pizza Pull-Apart Monkey Bread

Sometimes it’s really hard to find meals that my whole family enjoys . . . my picky 4-year-old and 2-year-old don’t love all the meals that I make. However, this is one meal that both the parents and the kids love. It’s full of flavor, easy to make, and it’s pizza! It doesn’t get any better than this!

  • 3 (7.5 ounce) packages refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 (24 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce (we used Prego Traditional)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 (7 ounce) package pepperoni slices (divided)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • Toppings
  • 1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms (drained)
  • 1 green bell pepper (diced)
  • 1 onion (diced)


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Open biscuits and cut biscuit into quarters and place into a large bowl
  3. Pour spaghetti sauce on top of biscuit pieces and add Italian seasoning. Mix all together.
  4. Then add about 3/4 of the pepperoni pieces (reserving 1/4 to put on top) and 1 cup of cheese and stir well.
  5. Pour everything into a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle remaining pepperoni, cheese, and other toppings on the top of pizza. Place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the biscuits are fully cooked. They will be slightly firm when you press down on them.


Feel free to add any toppings of your choice.

Enjoy! My kids love pulling apart all the little pieces and eating it with their fingers.

  1. That sounds yummy, easy, and quick - and as a bonus, the littles can help make it! I love having the kids help cook in the kitchen. My husband didn't even know how to brown meat when we got married, and I want my kids to be a little bit more prepared than that! I think my son's wife will thank me for sure!
  2. So I made this tonight, so excited for everyone to try it? I followed all directions an even cooked it for 40mins instead of 25 an it was a complete fail, everyone hated it even my 3 yr old! The dough didn't even cook all the way through, just looked all sloppy an soupy in the middle ... There is no way some one could make it at that temp for sucha short time ... I will never make this again! So disappointed !
  3. Wow! I just made this for my fiancé!!! The smell alone made me smile!!! He said it smelled like Shakey's Pizza (a childhood fav of his). The taste is so amazing!!! I can't wait to make this for our potluck!!!! I will print this recipe along with your website. I work for the military and easy peasy recipes are always wanted!!! :)

  4. I made this last night and the outside edges were delicious. However, the middle was very doughy still and didn't cook all the way through. I baked it for 30 minutes as listed on directions. Has anybody else had this happen? I will definitely try it again sometime, but will be leaving it in the oven much longer.
