Peanut Butter Balls Recipe

These No Bake Peanut Butter Balls are a new favorite at our house. They are a healthy and delicious snack, that everyone is going to love. We also add some M & M's, to make it a little sweet. I love making this recipe with the kids. You are going to love this recipe.

What could i replace the peanut butter with?

This recipe calls for peanut butter, but if you have an allergy, or don’t particularly love it, you could easily swap it out for something else.

We highly recommend using almond or cashew butter in place of peanut butter. You could also make your own butter using PB2. Mix it with a little olive oil and honey, and you have a lower calorie peanut butter.

Any of these options would be a great substitute for this recipe.

what could i use in place of M & M’s?

I understand the M & M’s aren’t the healthiest option, but my kids love the mini  M & M’s. Let’s be honest, I also love them.

However, if you are looking for a healthier alternative, I have a few ideas for you:

  • Raisins
  • Craisins
  • Dark chocolate chips
  • Peanuts
  • Almonds
  • Coconut shreds
  • Dried apple pieces
  • Dried banana pieces

Peanut Butter Balls Recipe

  • 2 cups quick cook oats
  • 1 cup creamy natural peanut butter (no added sugar)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup mini M & M candies


  1. In a large bowl, mix together oats, peanut butter, and honey. The dough will be tough to stir and kind of sticky.
  2. Add in candies and mix well.
  3. Roll into 1 inch balls.
  4. Store in an air-tight container and keep in the fridge for up to one week.
