Orange Creamsicle Bars Recipe

These Orange Creamsicle Bars are so simple and taste amazing. The white chocolate chips add the perfect amount of sweetness to the citrus. It is the perfect summer snack, you are sure to love.

When I was younger, I always loved when the ice cream truck stopped in our neighborhood on a hot summer day. Nowadays you never hear those trucks really, and it’s a little sad. That was always the best noise to hear, when you were hot and had a sweet tooth.

There was nothing better than basking in the hot sun while enjoying an ice cold Orange Creamsicle.  Mmm Mm Mm. The creamy vanilla ice cream and tangy orange popsicle always seemed to hit the spot.

Now that I’m an adult, it might be just a little strange if I chased down the ice cream man for a summer treat, so instead I gave these Orange Creamsicle Bars from The Domestic Rebel a whirl.

Just like everything else Hayley whips up, they were absolutely amazing. The white chocolate chips added the perfect creaminess to the orange flavor in these chewy bars.

You are going to love this perfectly sweet, summer treat, to help you stay cool all summer long.

vegetable oil replacements:

This recipe calls for vegetable oil. Since being pregnant, vegetable oil doesn’t really sit will with me. So I decided to switch things up a bit, and find a good replacement for vegetable oil.

It turns out, there are a lot of amazing vegetable oil replacements, that still taste amazing with this recipe, and still get the texture perfectly.

Here is what I recommend:

  • Coconut Oil
  • Mashed Bananas
  • Blended pears
  • Applesauce
  • vegetable oil

could i use white cake mix instead of vanilla cake mix?

This recipe calls for vanilla cake mix, but you could easily use white or even yellow cake mix as a replacement. For the best look, we recommend using white or vanilla, but the flavor would still taste amazing with the yellow cake mix.

You could even try an orange flavored cake mix, if you are really looking for a more orange flavor.
