Oatmeal Coconut Dream Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup cane sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup Old Fashioned Oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup shredded sweetened coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chip

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, combine egg, and softened margarine.
  3. Mix in the sugars and vanilla.
  4. Continue mixing and add flour, old fashioned oats, salt, baking soda, coconut walnuts, and chocolate chips.
  5. Scoop into small bowls and place on cookie sheet.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are golden.

    • Hi Katie. I went in and looked at the recipe, and it's not a big batch of cookie dough. I sided with you and I think it's 2 teaspoons of vanilla. (Which could still be a lot.) I think 2 Tablespoons of vanilla would overpower the whole recipe. Thanks for catching that. The recipe has been changed.
