Jalapeno Popper Deviled Eggs

Nothing beats the taste of a jalapeno popper, at least until now! These Jalapeno Popper Deviled Eggs have the delicious jalapeno popper flavor without the intense spice.

One of my favorite things about the holidays are all of the delicious snacks and appetizers. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a good holiday dessert, but the appetizers are where it’s at for me!

We got invited to a game night a few weeks ago and I needed a good appetizer to bring and share. I’ve been loving all things hard boiled eggs lately (shoutout to pregnancy for giving me a semi-healthy craving!).

I combined my craving with my husbands love to jalapeno poppers and I’m don’t even feel guilty saying this may be my best work yet haha. My husband ate 8. Yes, 4 eggs worth in a matter of 30 seconds.

These are perfect for a party and are not nearly as spicy as a regular jalapeno popper, but with all the delicious jalapeno flavor.

How to Make Hard Boiled Eggs in the Oven

A lot of people think that hard boiling eggs is a tricky and complicated process.

It’s not hard at all, and we want to share our easy method that will simplify your life.

We have a trick to getting the perfect hard boiled egg: BAKING them. Yes, you can bake your eggs in the oven to hard boil them!

Here’s how:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Place eggs in a muffin tin (one per space) and bake for 30 minutes.
  2. Remove them from the oven and plunge them in ice water until cooled, or 10 minutes.
  3. That’s it! You just made 12 perfect hard boiled eggs.

Jalapeno Popper Deviled Eggs Tips and Tricks

The thing I love most about these jalapeno popper deviled eggs is the fact that they aren’t too spicy but I can still taste the delicious jalapeno flavor.

Our trick to getting the best of both worlds is to use jarred jalapenos in the mix, and fresh jalapenos on top! I always thought canned or jarred jalapenos were gross, but don’t be afraid to try them.

They are way less hot and have all the right flavors, giving your deviled eggs that perfect jalapeno touch. We topped our deviled eggs with a super thin slice of fresh jalapeno and it was the perfect finishing touch.

We’d also recommend bringing your cream cheese to room temperature before adding it into your egg yolk mixture. This will give your filling the creamy texture you are hoping for.

Our last trick is to used precooked bacon both in your filling and on top. This is another great time saver! Just pop it in the microwave for a few seconds, then crumble it for your filling and break off a few crispy pieces to top off your deviled eggs.
