Italian Peas Recipe

I was in a bind for a side dish for dinner and instead of serving the usual side of warmed up frozen vegetables, I tried something a little different!  These peas were delicious and both my boys devoured them!

  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion (minced)
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 (16 ounce) bag frozen peas
  • 1 Tablespoon chicken stock
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.  
  2. Add onion and garlic and saute until onions are soft and clear.
  3. Add peas and chicken stock, and cover.  
  4. Let simmer for 10 minutes, or until peas are soft and heated through.
  5. Season with salt and pepper and serve.
