Ham and Pine Bake

We are making this for Easter dinner, and I am already looking forward to it. This ham is so delicious, sweet and savory. The pineapple cooking between every few pieces will have your taste buds dancing. This is way easier to cook for crowds, and the presentation is a lot nicer than a pile of meat on a platter 🙂 So if you have guests this year, give this Ham and Pine Bake a try! Happy Easter!

This recipe is so easy and only takes a few ingredients to make. The glaze that goes over the ham and pineapple adds a sweetness to the savory meat.

This is perfect for presentation. Every piece get’s some of the juice, and the presentation is beautiful. This will definitely wow your guests.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cured spiral sliced ham
  • 1 (20 ounce) can sliced pineapple rings (reserve juice)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 Tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice (reserved from pineapple rings)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Carve the ham into pieces as you would when you normally carve your ham.
  3. Cut the pineapple slices in half.
  4. Spray a 9 x 13 inch pan with non stick cooking spray
  5. Place the ham and pineapple slices in a row, in the pan. I did every 2 or 3 slices of ham to 1 slice of pineapple.
  6. In a bowl, mix the brown sugar, honey, water, cinnamon, nutmeg and pineapple juice until fully combined.
  7. Pour the mixture over the ham and pineapple.
  8. Cover the pan with foil, place in oven and bake for 40 minutes or until ham and pineapple are hot.
