Easy Candied Nuts Recipe

I love eating warm candied nuts, and these are so delicious right out of the oven.  They will make the perfect little gift for your Valentine!  Or better yet, enjoy them yourself!  We were so surprised on how easy they are to make.  You will love these crunchy sugar coated nuts!

  • 4 cups pecans
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon


  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. In a medium bowl beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gradually stir in sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. Then fold in nuts.
  4. Spread the mixture on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
  5. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes until toasted and crispy. (I used a spatula and carefully turned it over every 10 minutes)
  6. Store in an airtight container.

    • Hi Lisa, I'm not sure what you could use instead of egg whites. I googled egg white substitute but not sure how that would work with this candied nut recipe. It was more for baking. I would hate to have it flop because pecans are not cheap!! We have another delicious nut (almond) recipe but it has 1 egg white in it.
