Copycat Disney Tigger Tails

Sweet and simple treats kids (and parents) will love to make and treats to enjoy! Our copycat Disney Tigger tails are so fun and easy to make with the kids and everyone hippedy hoppedy love them.

Disney is where dreams come true, and we made our food dreams come true by making a copycat version of Disney’s Tigger tails! They are so bright and fun, and did I mention extremely delicious? 

 

Our kids were so excited to make these, I am not even sure they lasted 3 days before they were gone. They would be perfect for a Pooh themed birthday party or even a zoo themed birthday party! 

 

Another great thing about these is that is it also a no bake dessert! Which of course is a win in my book when I am trying to make desserts with the kids.

I have made it simple and put everything you will need below for these amazing Tigger Tails from Disneyland!

Disneyland copycat recipe ingredients:

  1. Marshmallows 
  2. Kraft caramel bits 
  3. Water 
  4. Vanilla almond bark
  5. Orange sugar crystal sprinkles
  6. Semisweet chocolate chips

You can also make your own colored sprinkles if you don’t want to buy them specifically for this recipe, and it is actually pretty simple too! Check out this DIY colored sugar recipe from Taste of Home to make your own orange sprinkles. 

Things you will need for this fun treat to make with kids:

  • Bamboo Skewers (or Lollipop sticks like THESE)
  • Baking sheet
  • Wax paper
  • Microwave safe bowl (3)
  • Wooden spoon
  • Kitchen shears (THESE ones work great!)
  • Ziplock bag
  • Nonstick cooking spray

 

The time has come to make these tiggeriffic Tigger tails! 

To begin, put four of the large marshmallows on the end of each skewer. 

Then, line a baking sheet with wax paper and spray it with nonstick cooking spray and set that aside until we need it later. 

 

Now, pour the caramel bits into a microwave-safe bowl and add in the water, once that is done microwave it for two minutes. After the two minutes remove it and stir the caramel and water together until they are smooth. 

Next, take the marshmallow skewers and dip each one individually into the caramel (you may have better success pouring it over the marshmallows as shown above) until they are completely covered and then set them on the baking dish with the greased wax paper.

These will need to cool down completely before you move onto the next step. To speed things up a bit, you can pop them in the fridge to cool down faster. 

Once the caramel has set up, trim the extra caramel from each skewer with the kitchen shears to keep the tail looking smooth!  

 

Now, place the almond bark in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave it for two-minute intervals, stirring in between each time until the bark is melted. 

After the almond bark is melted, pour melted bark over the marshmallows until they are completely covered. Then, immediately cover the skewer completely with the orange crystals and return the tail to the baking sheet to let the candy coating harden up. 

When the tails have hardened up, melt the chocolate chips in another microwave-safe bowl for 30-second intervals until they are completely melted. 

Once the chocolate is melted, pour it into a ziplock bag and then cup off the tip of a corner of the ziplock bag. 

 

PRO TIP: If you fold the ziplock bag over the top of a tall drinking up this will hold it and allow you to pour the chocolate in much easier. 

 

Now the bag filled with chocolate and pipe the chocolate over the marshmallow sticks to create Tigger’s stripes. 

 

Then, just let the chocolate set up, then you will be able to serve and enjoy!

Copycat Disney Tigger Tails

Ingredients

  • 12 bamboo skewers (or lollipop sticks)
  • 48 marshmallows
  • 2 (11 ounce) packages Kraft caramel bits
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 (1 pound) package vanilla almond bark
  • Orange sugar crystal sprinkles
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Put 4 marshmallows on the end of each bamboo skewer. Line a baking sheet with wax paper, spray with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
  2. Pour caramel bits in a microwave safe bowl, add water and microwave for 2 minutes. Remove and stir until smooth. Dip each marshmallow stick in caramel until completely covered and set on prepared baking dish. Let cool completely (you can put them in the fridge to speed up this process). Once cool, trim extra caramel from the edges of the marshmallows with kitchen shears.
  3. Place almond bark in a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 2 minute intervals, stirring in between, until melted. Using a spoon, cover each stick in white chocolate and cover completely in orange sugar crystals. Set back on baking sheet and let cool until they are set up.
  4. Melt chocolate chips in a bowl and pour into a Ziploc bag. Cut the tip off one corner of the Ziploc bag and pipe melted chocolate over marshmallow sticks to create stripes. Let set up and serve.
