Brown Sugar Bacon Chicken Tenders

Every few weeks, I get in this weird dinner rut, where I only make the same 3 recipes, because I can't think of anything to make. Well, let our Brown Sugar Bacon Chicken Tenders get you out of that rut. They are so easy to make and taste delicious. The perfect dinner or game day food, to please your family and friends.

I have a love for bacon that I just don’t know how to describe. I seriously love it.

I love mine a little on the crunchy side, yet a little bit chewy.

I was at my in laws a few weeks ago, and they were putting foil on a cookie sheet, then laying bacon slices down on the foil. I was so confused as to what they were doing?

They were broiling bacon in the oven. I didn’t even know that was a thing. But it was some of the best bacon I have ever had.

My eyes were opened to a whole new world, of baked bacon recipes, that I hadn’t tried yet.

So today, I am sharing with you, one of my family’s favorite dishes, Brown Sugar Bacon Chicken Tenders. They are so delicious, and super easy to make.

how to make Brown sugar chicken tenders

Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Step 2: Spray a cookie sheet or 9×13 inch pan, with nonstick cooking spray. You could also lay down foil, and spray the foil, to avoid difficult dirty dishes.

Step 3: In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic salt, and black pepper. Mix until fully incorporated. I mixed mine with a fork, just to ensure all the ingredients were evenly combined.

Step 4: Grab your chicken tender, and wrap one piece of bacon around it. You can add more bacon if you’d like, but I don’t want my bacon to overpower the taste of the chicken.

Step 5: Then roll the chicken, and pat the brown sugar mixture, into the chicken tender. As I rolled the chicken, I would pat in the spices and brown sugar, to ensure the flavor was locked in.

Step 6: Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 30 minutes, or until you cut into the chicken, and the juices run clear.

can I make these bite size?

You most definitely can make this recipe, bite size.

I would cut your raw chicken tenders, into small bites, like you would the size of cookie dough balls.

I would then cut the bacon slices in thirds, wrap it around the chicken bite, and stick a toothpick in it, to ensure it stays. I would then roll them in the brown sugar mixture and bake at 375 for 15-20 minutes.

what sauce could I dip these chicken tenders in?

I am a sauce person. I loved these chicken tenders without sauce, but I am never one to shy away from my sauces. Here are a few of my favorites to dip in it:

-Honey Mustard
-BBQ Sauce
-Fry Sauce
-Teriyaki Sauce
-Sweet and Sour Sauce
-Chipotle Mayo Dip
-Ranch

could I make this recipe using chicken breasts?

You most definitely could make this recipe, using chicken breasts. Personally, I prefer the chicken tenders because they are more juicy and don’t dry out as much as chicken breasts.

If you do use chicken breasts, be sure to increase your cooking time where they are a little bit bigger than chicken tenders.

You may also need to double your bacon, so there is enough bacon to wrap around the chicken breasts, depending on how big they are.
