Bacon Ranch Spaghetti Squash

This Bacon Ranch Spaghetti Squash has only four ingredients and melts in your mouth. Bacon and ranch dressing mix combine to make a flavor combination that will make your family beg for baked spaghetti squash all the time.

How To bake Spaghetti Squash in the Oven:

There are a few different ways to bake spaghetti squash in the oven.  My favorite way is to place 3 cups of water into a 9×13-inch glass baking pan, placing the whole spaghetti squash in the pan and covering it with aluminum foil.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 35-45 minutes, remove from the oven, carefully cut in half, scoop out the seeds and shred with a fork.

You can also cut it in half before baking, but you want to be sure to use a sharp knife.  Cut the spaghetti squash in half lengthwise, and scoop out the seeds.

Drizzle each half with a little olive oil and place squash cut side down on a baking sheet at roast for 45 minutes.  Remove from the oven and shred with a fork.

How To Cook Spaghetti Squash in the Microwave:

If you are short on time, you can cook your spaghetti squash in the microwave.

Cut your spaghetti squash in half and scoop out the seeds.  Place the squash cut side down in a microwave-safe dish.

Cover with a paper towel and microwave on high for 10-12 minutes or until the outside can be easily punctured with a fork.

Carefully remove from the microwave and shred the inside of the squash with a fork.

Items needed for this recipe:
9×13-inch pan: This is my absolute favorite 9×13-inch pan.  It is so sturdy and it includes a lid for quick and easy leftover storage or travel.
Glass mixing bowl: I use this glass bowl for everything!  It is pretty enough to use as a serving dish too.
Wood spoon: This wooden spoon is a functional as it is beautiful.

Ingredients

  • 1 large spaghetti squash
  • 3 cups water
  • 12 strips bacon (cooked and crumbled)
  • 1 (1 ounce) package ranch dressing mix

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Place 3 cups of water into a 9x13-inch glass baking pan.
  3. Place the whole spaghetti squash in the pan with water and cover with aluminum foil.
  4. Bake for 35-45 minutes.
  5. Remove spaghetti squash from the oven and carefully cut in half.
  6. Scoop seeds out of the center of the squash and shred with a fork.
  7. Place the shredded spaghetti squash in a bowl with the bacon.
  8. Add the ranch packet and mix until fully combined.
  9. Serve warm.
